Radon Testing

There are two main categories of testing based on the length of the test.  Short-term tests are any test that is shorter then 90 days, usually 2 to 7 days.  Long-term tests are any test that is 90 to 365 days. A short term 48 hour test is usually used in real estate transaction. Radon testing in our area is important because we live in the EPA zone 1, which has the highest potential for elevated radon levels.

Certified Radon Testing

We are a licensed radon contractor and use the best equipment to determine your home’s radon level. After you call or fill out a free estimate form, we will schedule a time for the test. Our equipment requires at least 48 hours to determine your radon levels accurately. After the 48 hours we will return to your home to pick up the machine and download your results. If your home comes back with unsafe radon levels our licensed radon professional will talk with you about your mitigation options.

Radon & Selling Your Home

If you’re selling your home you may be required to provide professional radon test results to complete the transaction. Our radon testing is certified and can be used in real estate transactions. If your transaction requires you to lower unsafe levels of radon with mitigation, we guarantee that our system will bring your home to acceptable levels.

Home Radon Testing Kits

Home radon testing kits are a good resource, but the results can be inaccurate if used improperly. Inaccurate test results can lead to serious health consequences for your family like radon caused lung cancer. These kits can be a good start in determining radon levels, but need to be verified before the need for mitigation is determined. There are many factors that can cause home testing kits to provide inaccurate results.
